چکیده
The aim of this study was to produce a low-cost activated carbon (AC) from an inexpensive precursor material, corn stigmata (CS), by chemical activation at low temperatures using H3PO4, ZnCl2 and KOH. results were showed that with phosphoric acid provides adsorbent larger specific surface area (SBET) high pore size. Textural physicochemical properties ACs H3PO4 then studied in different temperature. increase temperature 200° 500°C allows the development many functions mixture meso microporosity, so SBET 0.25 820 m2/g. textural analyzed N2 adsorption–desorption, FTIR, Boehm’s titration, point zero charge (pHPZC), SEM EDX. kinetics isotherm methylene blue (MB) adsorption well described BSf GBS models indicating stochastic fractal process highly heterogeneous AC surface. maximum capacity toward MB, 330.5 mg/g, compared other found literature.
